FAMILIES | WHAT TO EXPECT

ON SUNDAY MORNING

First-Time Visitors:

Welcome! When you first arrive on our church campus, please drive to the back parking lot where you will see our main entrance. Upon entering the church building, you will be greeted by friendly faces and handed a bulletin. To register your children in Children’s Ministry and drop them off to their classes, please go to our early childhood location, which we call Lighthouse Bay. One of our greeters will be happy to send you in the right direction!

In Lighthouse Bay, our desk worker will welcome you and enter your children’s information into our system so that we can print name tags. For the safety of our children, a name tag with a code on it will be printed, as well as a code tag with a matching code. Parents/Guardians will keep the code tag and give it to the desk worker at pickup to retrieve their child(ren).

The Cove (our Elementary area) is in a separate location and our desk worker will be happy to walk you down there and show you around. Parents are welcome to stay with their children in their classes for as long as they feel necessary to ensure a smooth transition.

When You Arrive:

Children can be checked into their classes 20 minutes prior to each service. Our desk worker will remain at the desk for about 10 after the service begins for any late arrivals. We have self Check-In stations as well as a manned Check-In station where our desk worker can check you in. We also have an app available for parents to use to check their kids in after they have registered their children.

The info below describes what to expect during the Summer months

From Memorial Day through Labor Day

Our Children’s Ministry classes look slightly different during the summer months for several reasons. We have fewer kids in attendance, we have fewer volunteers available, and, most importantly, we also see this as a valuable season in which we can include our children in corporate, intergenerational worship. We long to teach our kids our worship traditions and customs so that they may feel a sense of belonging and ownership within the church body.

For specific information on how our Children’s Ministry shifts in the summer, please see our main Children’s Ministry page or check out our Summer Pamphlet here:
